Aerial America is a thrilling flight across America. Shot entirely in high definition, this series offers rare glimpses of some of our nation’s most treasured landmarks, all seen from breathtaking heights. From busy cityscapes to quiet landscapes, from historical and cultural landmarks to untouched locations inaccessible by road, the show offered the history and the pageantry of our amazing country, which is as diverse as the people who occupy it.
We wanted to bring excitement and interest for this new Smithsonian series. TV City at the MGM grand in Vegas was a perfect popular landmark to start especially due to the great business relationship I and my team had already built with them.
Guests of the hotel and the visitors from the vegas strip were given a glimpse into the beautiful scenic views across america by making it an interactive experience.
We accomplished this, by allowing them the aerial point of view of some of the most popular landmarks in the united states.
Each time the user walked over the display, the clouds dissipate to reveal a breathtaking shot of the Golden Gate bridge, the Statue of Liberty and never before scene aerial views of America’s mountains and countryside.
The impact of this display really created awareness and anticipation to watch the show. There were over a four thousand users interacting with the space within the first week of launch.
